This study addresses the limited research on the risk of mental health problems among mothers of children with
intellectual disabilities. The research examines the psychoemotional condition of mothers and the clinical characteristics
of borderline mental disorders. The findings indicate that mothers of children with intellectual disabilities are more likely
to experience anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. These outcomes are associated with factors such
as parental age at childbirth, income level, and access to healthcare services. Therefore, the development of targeted
programs and services aimed at supporting maternal mental health is of particular importance.
